Good for
- Wine shops and bars hosting customer evenings
- Agrotourism and winery visits
- Private groups of friends
- Anyone starting out, or going deeper
Liquid culture
Every bottle carries a place, a people and a history. When I teach, I start there: why a grape grows where it does, why a spirit is made the way it is, why a sake tastes of its water and rice.
Understanding the story makes the glass easier to read. Technique follows naturally.
“Wine, spirits, and sake are simply the storytellers.”
Wherever the conversation fits
I lead masterclasses in intimate wine shops, vibrant bars and agrotourism settings, and for private groups who simply want to learn together.
The setting shapes the session. A bar crowd might want spirits and cocktails; a winery visit calls for the vineyard just outside the door.
What we can explore
How to taste and describe what you find. Grapes, regions and styles. How spirits are distilled and aged. Sake from rice polishing to serving temperature. And always, the indigenous varieties of Cyprus.
How we work together
Talk
We agree on the audience, the setting and what people should leave knowing.
Shape
I build the theme and the line-up of bottles around that story.
Pour
The session itself: tasting, talking, and plenty of questions.
Questions
- Do people need to know anything about wine?
- Not at all. Sessions are built to be approachable, and nobody is ever put on the spot.
- Can you host a masterclass at my venue?
- Yes. Wine shops, bars and agrotourism settings are exactly where I love to teach.
- Is it only wine?
- No. Spirits and sake are as much part of liquid culture as wine, and they make wonderful themes.
